Daniel is a filmmaker, photographer, writer, and artist hailing from San Diego, California, currently living in New York City. In 2012, he graduated from NYU's Tisch Film & Television department and has gone on to direct over six short films, a web series, music videos, and commercial projects.
In terms of narrative work, Daniel’s films have been shown at SXSW, Telluride Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, AFI Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, Slamdance, Palm Springs ShortFest, Santa Fe Independent, Brooklyn Film Festival, Flickers Rhode Island, Hollyshorts, The Ivy, No Budge Live, Woods Hole, and Las Vegas, as well as having work featured on Showtime, Vimeo Staff Pick, Short Of The Week, NoBudge, The Bureau of Creative Works, and the Slamdance Channel.
In 2013, Daniel wrote and directed a three episode web pilot for MTV. In 2021, Daniel (alongside collaborator Michelle) was named one of “25 New Faces of Independent Film” by Filmmaker Magazine. In 2022, his film Sales Per Hour was acquired by Showtime and featured in their upcoming series “Spotlights;” highlighting emerging voices in film. Sales Per Hour is currently being adapted into a feature and supported by the Sundance Institute's Producer's Lab and Catalyst program.
Daniel has shot/edited content for companies like Nike, Cole Haan, Man Repeller, Audemars Piguet, Floyd, Brooklinen, Naomi Campbell, Love Wellness, Krave Beauty, Campaign Zero, Quadpay, Thrive Global, August Man, and many more. Daniel frequently works as a producer, editor, and graphic designer.
